Check out this Reader's Toolbox of tools at my TPT store by clicking the picture below! As we start off the year with community leaders, this will fit right in with learning about construction workers! I'm going to cut and laminate a set for each of my students to keep in their Book Bins so that they can practice the reading strategies on their own and with partners! I love giving them hands-0n items and I hope this will get them even more excited about reading!

I guess summertime is meant for relaxing, but I can't keep off of Pinterest! I saw a cute teacher sign on there and just HAD to make my own to match my classroom's bright colors! I planned it out on paper first, then had to paint 2-3 coats of acrylic paint. I then used a black scrapbooking marker to draw the letters in my name. I hot glued the feather boa to the bottom (Upon my husband's request - he didn't care for it all the way around!) and glue/stapled another piece of the boa to the top as a hanging piece. I think it turned out just spiffy! I know this will help welcome students, parents, and guests into my magical castle! Also, check out the new classroom labels I concocted below. I wish I knew a way to make the pictures a little more clearer, but they will do the job for now!
